Cowichan Bay Regatta

BACK TO THE BEACH

REGISTRATION:

     On site registration Friday evening and Saturday morning at the event tent at the Cowichan Tribes canoe site.

       All skippers must report to the registration desk upon arrival.

Registration Fee $65.00 Moorage REGISTRANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING THEIR OWN MOORAGE ARRANGEMENTS. BE PREPARED TO ANCHOR OUT.

ACCOMMODATION:

      Limited camping and RV spaces on site. There is hotel accommodation available in Duncan and quite a few B&Bs (see listing on home page) in Cowichan Bay.

MOORAGE:

       REGISTRANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING THEIR OWN MOORAGE ARRANGEMENTS. BE PREPARED TO ANCHOR OUT. There will be no tying to the floating breakwater; water taxis will be available ( for a small fee) for those anchoring out. The Government wharf will be on a first come fist serve basis, no reservations available. The Marinas in the area will try and accommodate as many vessels as possible. There will be a dock master on-site Friday, times and VHF channel will be posted here later as well as a sign on the Administration Tent at canoe site.

MARGARITA PARTY:

      Our free Margarita beach party, on Saturday. Hosted by "UK-Halsey Sailmakers Northwest", with our collective THANKS, will start around 1830.

SKIPPERS MEETING:

       Saturday August 4th at 0930 in front of the event tent at the beach.

3 or 4 PHRF- Divisions (as needed by the Race Committee)
3 or 4 One Design divisions (as needed by the Race Committee)

COWICHAN BAY 25th ANNUAL REGATTA

2 races on Saturday July 31st Start time 1130hrs (doctor permitting)
1 or 2 races Sunday Aug 1st Start time 1130hrs (doctor permitting)

COOK THE COW BBQ

      Steak and all the fixings is the offering Saturday evening for $10 a plate. A vegetarian substitution will be available.

ROCKIN ROBIN

      We have no deck to dodge or break this year, however, it couldn’t be a real Beach Party without the tunes provided by our favorite D.J. Dancing will commence following dinner Saturday night.

PLEASE NOTE

*Parking is very limited; the organizing committee request, if at all possible, to please car-pool your crew to the site.

*Registration, Souvenir sales, Dinner and Raffle tickets will be available in the Regatta Event Tent.
